Yes, you can touch your toes! Bow with confidence in a yoga class with these simple tips on how to make your elbows forward. Great as a warm-up routine at your peak and beginning practitioners. To Be Alive Yoga Studio there is no police yoga, only you, your breathing and your body.

I ran yesterday and walked 3 miles about an hour ago. My flexibility has already improved; I can touch my toes with my legs straight, but still can’t bring my upper body into my legs. I will keep exercising and thanks for the tips.

It’s always a good idea to bend your knees and really warm up to it, also, taking some deep breaths and going into your leg extentions are key – that helps the body to not wig out, otherwise if you aren’t breathing the body thinks it’s dying and the whole thing locks up – take it slow, it took me a month of doing this everyday before I could get to the ground and there are days when I am still stiff – keep at it!

I tried to do uttanasana the other day, but I really felt the stretch on the back of my knees. Then again I haven’t been exercising much this winter. I think I’ll go for a run tomorrow.
